BRUCE KLAUBER SWINGS FRANK SINATRA
Vocalist, drummer, author and filmmaker Bruce Klauber's swinging celebration of Frank Sinatra—the man and his music-- is an entertaining, jazz-focused delight that features not only the music of Mr. Sinatra, but Klauber's first-person back stories about Mr. Sinatra, the life he lived, and the songs he sang. "Bruce Klauber Swings Frank Sinatra," featuring world class jazz musicians Tom Glenn on guitar and Bruce Kaminsky on bass, has entertained audiences of all ages at World Cafe' Live, Chris' Jazz Cafe', Paris Wine Bar, Paris Bistro, South Restaurant and Jazz Bar, Sandler’s on 9th, Manayunk’s Café Zesty, Bowman's in New Hope, Camden's Waterfront Theatre, Atlantic City's Ocean Club and Girasole Restaurant, Kennett Square's Kennett Flash, and in any number of exclusive, private salons.
As a filmmaker, Bruce Klauber wrote and co-produced the award-winning, Warner Brothers film documentarys on jazz drumming legends Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa. He served as Technical Adviser on the Oscar-winning motion picture, "Whiplash."
The multi-faceted Klauber's newest book, his third, is "Reminiscing in Tempo" (Centerstream/Hal Leonard), which tells of his career as a performer, journalist and life in virtually every facet of the entertainment industry.
In line with his long and varied career, none than Frank Sinatra said of Bruce Klauber: It is quite obvious you are an educated student of American popular music, and your knowledge of some marvelous and memorable years in America's musical history is truly impressive. Your warm words supporting my music and my efforts as a musician honor me and touched me deeply."
