Dennis Selfridge is a Philadelphia Area singer/songwriter who spent 1985 through 1999 kicking around between the Main Line and the Jersey Shore, along the way writing and recording a slew of songs, opening for a handful of big-name acts and leaving a trail of memories through countless bars, clubs, festivals and colleges. After retreating to family life for most of this century, he is back out there enjoying the occasional concert gig. In December of 2016, his self-created label, “Derf Songs” entered into a relationship with Catapult World Wide Music Distribution. Six albums dating back to the late 80’s have been released on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Deezer and Apple Music. Other earlier analog material is also free for download from www.dennisselfridge.com.
In early 2018, the Kelly Music Center began to take shape in Havertown and Dennis jumped in to try and help make it happen. With his own children involved in Music and Theater at HHS, the chance to support a small venue where young musicians and other creative artists could find a home was something to get a bit passionate about.
On Saturday October 19th Dennis will make his first appearance at the brand-new Kelly Music Center in Havertown. Joining him for the evening will be long time guitarist/vocalist Chris McCord. Chris grew up in Havertown, graduated from HHS and is still a musical presence in and around the Philadelphia area. Check out CMC Productions for more information on Chris, his wife Cindy and the McChords.
