CLAPTON AMERICA is a tribute band comprised of veteran musicians and singers paying homage to the long and varied career of Eric Clapton.  Led by veteran frontman/rhythm guitarist Vic Monaco (formerly of Steely Dan tribute band Countdown to Ecstasy), Clapton America features Al Stiver on lead guitar (Full Moon Fever, Stingchronicity, GruvTyme). Laying down the back beat is Billy Walp (Spellbound, Forecast). Joe Machinia lays down the bottom on bass (90 Proof). Matt Pello on keyboard (Northern Lights). Pam Bily (GruvTyme, Influence Band) rounds out the lineup that honors the music of Eric Clapton from his early days in bands such as Cream to his Grammy heyday of the 90s.  See more at https://www.artistecard.com/claptonamerica#!/page/1020560

Howard Whitman has been playing guitar and writing songs since his early teens and got serious (sorta) about music in the mid-1980s with his college-era Motown spoof band The Groovetones. He released his first album, Womanquest, in 1987, and has subsequently played with a variety of cover bands including Pure Ground, Dogs Playing Cards, and Where’s Pete. Currently, he plays bass and is one of the lead vocalists in the popular Kansas/Styx tribute band Know Return; he also performs with the Monaco-Whitman Duo (with Vic Monaco of Clapton America) and as a solo artist. He released a CD of original songs, However, in 2021. Visit howard-whitman.com for further info.
