On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11/2001 attacks on America, Kelly Music for Life presents HAVERFORD FIRST FEST MUSIC FESTIVAL, honoring First Responders on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  September 11th will always be remembered for the attacks. The COVID pandemic reminded us of the importance of First Responder medical personnel. Kelly Music for Life wants to be sure that the First Responder heroes among us are recognized and honored in this celebration of response to adversity. As we recover from the COVID shutdowns, Haverford First Fest Music Festival will be the first big local music festival in almost 2 years. Proceeds from HAVERFORD FIRST FEST MUSIC FESTIVAL will benefit the Main Line Chamber Foundation's First Responder Scholarship Fund and the Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community.

HAVERFORD FIRST FEST MUSIC FESTIVAL is a FREE admission event that will take place from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, September 11th.  The outdoor stage and festival area will be at 50 East Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083.  The indoor stage will be at the Kelly Center at 4 E. Eagle Road in Havertown.  The day will be filled with live music, food, beer garden, crafters and children’s activities including fire trucks and other first responder equipment to explore.  There are tributes planned to local first responders – Police, Firefighters, EMS, Doctors, Nurses and Military who put themselves at risk every day to help others.

The Kelly family has produced dozens of outdoor live music festivals and events over the last decade in Havertown and surrounding communities.  According to Chairman Tom Kelly, “We will celebrate America’s resilience on the anniversary of the darkest day in modern history.  Accompanied by live music and community we will honor the spirit of our First Responders.  As we emerge from a global pandemic this year, it is particularly appropriate that we pay tribute to First Responders who put themselves in the firing line during a deadly virus outbreak.”

Haverford Township Manager, Dave Burman explains, “The role of first responders is critical for the stability of any community.  Many don’t recognize their importance until they are needed most. We are very proud to recognize our first responders with this special day.”

Haverford Township Police Chief, John Viola agrees, “Putting themselves in harm’s way for the benefit of others is a first responder’s job description. During fires, natural disasters, pandemics and other hazardous situations, all first responders, Police, Fire Department, Medics all step forward to protect the community.”
