The Jesse Loewy Band will be hosting a CD Release concert for Jesse’s latest release entitled “Jesse Loewy’s Tribute to Aretha Franklin.” In addition to The Jesse Loewy Band’s regular Blues, Jazz, and Funk repertoire, they will also play the content from their new CD.
CD DESCRIPTION:
I'm very excited to officially announce the release of my tribute to Aretha Franklin. Aretha has been an inspiration to countless musicians worldwide, so, I knew I had to do something to honor the “Queen of Soul” after her passing. Out of respect for the Queen, I decided not to hire a vocalist to sing these songs since there is only one Aretha Franklin. Instead, I put together my own melodic chord arrangement simultaneously covering her vocal melody along with the chords behind it on my guitar. This project covers “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” and “Respect” in the form of a medley. I’m also very excited to have the members of The Jesse Loewy Band on this project including; Rich Budesa, Mike Whren, and Neil Simpkins.
