“The Simple Folks and Heroes 30th Anniversary Night”
According to Dennis Selfridge, “In May of 1993 George Pierson and "Pier-co Productions" recorded Simple Folks and Heroes live at 23 EAST Cabaret in front of my hometown crowd. That night Chris McCord, Jim Stager, Erik Johnson, and I plowed through four sets and created what is arguably one of, if not the, best things I’ve ever done. The album was originally released in 1994 and then re-released for US/European Distribution in 1996 by Global Media in NYC. Recently I reconnected with Jim and Erik. Both expressed interest in doing a reunion anniversary show. I reached out to Chris who said, “that’s a no brainer”. As this event begins to take shape, I want to rekindle that vibe we created that night and create a Simple Folks and Heroes Unplugged album. Dave Young, who recorded Delco at the Kelly Center back in October of 2019, is going to return to engineer the Simple Folks project. Like the original 1993 concert, we want to enjoy the night and bring the audience along for the ride.”

For all events, we are focusing on SAFETY. We have improved air filtration inside the Kelly Center for the safety of Customers, Staff and Performers. We have upgraded to Hospital Grade HEPA air filtration, Negative Air Ion filters and Apple Catechin filters with antiviral and antibacterial properties. These upgrades trap and deactivate microscopic bacteria and viruses, and can diminish or prevent the spread of diseases. Our HVAC draws in fresh air from outside, completely turning the inside air over every 5 minutes. We open the windows when appropriate to improve fresh air flow.
