WXPN Welcomes The Carlile Family Band
A family band from a tiny, rural Washington town called Curlew, The Carlile Family Band performs a mix of Folk, Americana, and Indie and have shared the stage with aunt, Brandi Carlile.
17-year-old front woman Caroline Carlile on guitar, banjo, and vocals. She mostly is seen running around the stage engaging with the audience and her family.
Jack of all trades, 14-year-old JayJ Carlile. The driving force behind the music, JayJ is a multi-instrumentalist playing a range of 6-7 instruments. He also is known for singing his own songs about anxiety and the stresses of growing up.
And dad, Jay Carlile, providing expert harmonies and blues harp. He also is the official family bus driver.
They write, record, and produce their own music, often from the backseat of their motorhome while on the road.
Shows are filled with comedy and family harmonies. Their songs range from heartache to friendship, to familial love, to cowboys.

Jay Byham, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has a brand new album filled with 10 hit-sounding songs out on ITP Entertainment label! The Pittsburgh native's new album was co-written and produced by Smash Palace's Steve Butler and comes out on the heels of his self-titled debut EP, which garnered praise and recognition from Little Steven's Underground Garage, who played his first two singles in heavy rotation! It's been said he sounds like James Taylor fronting Badfinger!! Listen for yourself to this college dropout rockstar-gonna-be and get won over to this fresh new take on 60's/70's rock and pop sound.
